Our Kenya Dolls. She was first introduced by Tyco in 1992. These wonderful Black Dolls that look like us ( not just a white doll dipped in chocolate) was re-introduced this November.

One of my favorite pieces a 1968 rare find Beatrice Wright a Doll. She was the creator, founder, and president of the first African American toy company to manufacture dolls and stuffed toys. She made dolls that looked like her children. Read more in Dollology
Shades of Us....
These are the many dolls that are created by manufacturers and Doll Enthusiast. Most of these dolls are from my collection. As we are different, so our dolls are different too! Some are chocolate brown, honey brown and tan. Some are porcelain, vinyl and hard plastic. Some are rag dolls, Re-born dolls, toddler dolls, American Girl like dolls and Fashion dolls. But most of all they are Be-You-tiful Dolls like Me and Powerful You!
